So much to do.......

Do you have a ever growing list of things you would like to get done before Christmas?
I certainly do , and its starting to eat at me. You know that feeling you get when you really want/need to do something and you just can't find the spare time for it? Its beginning to feel like the story of my life!
So...... I am hoping that if I share my list, that it will make me feel better for not getting to do them yet......maybe. Good theory Liz.

• Package up and tag/decorate all the baking that I have done for little gifts for people (maybe Sunday)
• Buy my Dads and BIL Pressies - hmmmmmm?
• Finish wrapping all of the presents
• Make stockings for all the kids (starting a new tradition, they already have stockings but my Mum does them)
• Make some Rum Balls
• Write out Christmas Cards for everyone
• Clean out the toy room/label boxes etc, in prep for all the new toys to come
• paint and decorate 2 foam Christmas trees
• Edit and send out the photos from Sundays Christmas party
• Bag up and sell all the baby clothes that are no longer needed (last Babies, sniff sniff)
• Sew an order of 2 nappy pouches for a friend
• Make my niece a dress for her baby doll
• Sew Stella a quilt for her dolls bed like this one;

And lastly, clean and tidy my house!! Now its not bad, not by any stretch but I have "stuff" in piles waiting to be sorted, piles waiting to be filed, piles waiting to be scrapbooked, piles that have been DUMPED and piles of piles of STUFF!!

Yes, the list is over ambitious, but I am allowed to dream right?
Now if only I wasn;t working Sat , Sun all day, then Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs night , then Friday morning all next week, I might actually be able to achieve some of these great things!!

Colour me happy!

I have been playing with a bit of colour in my house lately, which is rather different for me, as I have a very WHITE house, with accents of beige, tan and chocolate, oh how interesting!! NOT!! I am yet to understand as to why this was the case, when I am such a colour lover, I think its because I like them all so much, sticking to a few , and choosing them, is too hard!!
Anyhooos, today Stella went with her grandparents for the better half of the day, which left me a little time to organise a little. A little being the operative word. I did however discover that having twins , with no toddler aswell, is a damn sight easier, and when you do actually get them to sleep at the same time, even if its just for 20 mins, then its just you, and that piping hot cup of tea, this NEVER happens with a 2 year old around!! So , note to self, in my next life, twins first up please!!
I have been keeping a few of Max's formula tins for a rainy day, they just seem so handy, and didn't want to chuch them out, so here is what I created today, just to hold a few bits and bobs in my sewing/craft room.
The before;

Just wish the lids were white , might have to spray paint them!

And after, too easy, just wrap some funky scrapbooking paper or material around them, and use double sided tape to secure or I use some spray adhesive! Voila, trendy tins for storage!

Let me know if anyone would like me to save some for them, I am going to have a lot soon, the rate that Master Max drinks his milk, its the good stuff alright, but if anyone is familiar with Neocate, it smells and tastes FOUL!!

And last but not least, my new bed quilt.
Isn't she lovely!! Isn't she wonderful! Oh my, I LOVE HER!!

A gorgeous friend from school is in America at the moment and after a whinging Facebook status how I wished I was in America (as everything is so accessable, cheaper and lovlier, and the freight to Oz is HUGE!) she asked if there was anything she could get for me, well as a matter of fact , there was!! This amazing quilt from Anthrapologie. THE most devine store all throughout the US, and it just so happened she was going to New York and said she would check it out for me!! With her buying it and shipping it back to me, it was still cheaper than purchasing it online and getting it sent home, much MUCH cheaper!!AND... its made of multiple layers of Indian cotton, very similar to muslin, so it is uber warm, and uber soft AND even with it being a little bit , a lot  pricey, my DH loves it too! Even better!
With a few cushions to finish, from our trusty local Target, it looks amazing, if I do say so myself!! So thanks a bunch Sam, your vegemite will be on its way soon! haha

Sewing free!

Ohh how sad it is to be blogging tonight, the long weekend went far to quick for my liking! I have enjoyed have Hubby around to help with Stella as I am not as agile as I usually am, and boy has he had jobs to do!! hehe So I feel we are finally starting to get organised for our impending arrivals.
A spot of gardening for the morning we had to do something outside, as cool as it was at 7am this morning as Stella wanted to go out and play on her car, a very pink Cosy Coupe that she got from her Nannie and Gramps, she even had to say goodnight to it tonight!


We also went to a birthday party for the most adorable twin boys this afternoon, thankyou so much AM for your book and advice, I am sure it will be well read, and we all had a ball, thanks again!
The nursery is just about finished, can't wait to post pics to show everyone, but not until the twins are born, it will give it away otherwise and I have contemplated a few b + w versions but its better left. I am utterly obsessed with birds and owls atm so that is what the theme for the babes room is!
I actually haven't sewn anything tonight, which is rare for me lately, and to be honest I am itching to get into my "den" or so my other half calls it. I did make a gorgeous pair of little wide length pants last night, made out of the most beautiful Michael Miller fabric, for a friends baby, luckily she knows she is having a boy! Not too bad if I do say so myself, hehe will post pics tomorrow maybe.

I am off , I will leave you with a pic of the super duper gorgeous quilt Stella received from her Nannie (MIL) , she is a very talented patchworker, and its Stella's first and I just LOVE it! So precious and such an heirloom to keep. There are hand stitched panels all over it!


WE have a growth scan tomorrow , just to make sure both twins are growing at the same rate, and are actually still growing and everything is ok, so fingers crossed everyone that T1 who has been breech , has now, infact spun!
