To Market to Market to buy a...............

Fat pig? No, but LOTS of other goodies!! What a whirlwind trip to the big smoke! We left Saturday after I finished work at the salon (about 3pm departure) and got home at 8pm last night!! But... boy was it worth it!! Our beautiful little people were absolute gems on the way down, slept, talked , gooed , all the good stuff, however the trip home was something different.... unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, they were really really good, until Eneabba, alas, this time, they cracked the poopies but a quick switcheroo of seats with Mummy to the back and it was under control with the help of some yummy food. Food = winner!!
Right, onto the good stuff!! I mut begin with stating the absolute obvious!! How many super duper talented people are in this world? Ah hello Liz, heaps you say!! Well then, how many are in this wonderful state of ours? Heaps ,and it only take a trip to Upmarket to make one realise pretty quick smart!
My mum , crafty sister and I , had a great peruse around the market, and I must thank Kristy, my big sister, for "looking like a Mummy" much to her disgust, and carrying my big boy Max in a Baby Bjorn on her front, whilst I carried Lacey girl on my front in a pouch like a little koalo with her head popping out and watching everyone!! For anyone who has been to Upmarket, they will know, that prams are a no go, and such a hinderance to ones serious shopping abilities and we did not want to risk any handicaps to the latter!!
For anyone interested, and I urge all , the website link for Upmarket is here.
Take a gander at my amazing purchases, I must say in my defense too, I DID buy a few Xmas pressies, birthday pressies and had a list of "wants" and crossed them all off  = one happy stoked Liz!!

Amazingly gorgeous things from Craftapalooza, her website is HERE

My Gorgeous Apple pincushion and drawing pins!!

My free "gift" for letting her know I was an avid blog follower!!

My Mother In Laws Xmas gift

Lacey Lous Christmas gift, a Poppet from Pikelet Workshop (Facebook Page), Jen is amazing!! And I have been a follower of her on Facebook for a while now and it was awesome to see her goods in person, so much better, just gorgeous!

Amazing felt creations from Happy As Larry, I did get a gorgeous mobile too so I will post a pic when it is up!

This gorgeous pendant from a little frenchy stall, there were lots of jewellery ones , so I can't remember the name

And the items at the top of my "wish List" all in there stunning and glorious beauty. From the top, a casserole carrier in the gorgeous Amy Butler Lotus fabric, an ironing board cover (like I iron,meh) , a tea cosy in the lotus fabric too, and a uber adorable oven mit!!All stunning and better in real life, from the Modern Homewares, HERE is her Etsy store!

And.. how devine are these? So antiquey (ok I made that word up, but doesnt everyone?!) and I just love the sparkle and colour!! For moi of course!!

Ok, no trip to Perth is complete (well not one that lasts only 18 hours anyway, without a trip to Harbour Town, and Cotton On Kids, I love it , and its so great for boys clothes, and I picked up these letters, and I will be using these and a few more for a future project so stay tuned!!

Now, I know, call me silly, but I do not feel like I have finished a day off properly without "creating something", and I know people will giggle at that, knowing my life, however it somehow makes all the hard stuff, the dual crying, the spewing, the nappies, the toilet trips, the cleaning, the washing, the cooking, the wages, the salon duties, and all the other guff thrown in, all better, and rosy and ..... quite literally ... bearable. On days when I just want to curl up into the feotal position and rock myself to sleep (haha ok ok a little over exageration, but you get the gist , yes?)
                                                                  So here is todays.......
Remember this? The whiteboard from the last post? Well this is it now.....

A gorgeous , covered magnet board for my favourite things......
And here it is complete with a few piccies and making good use of those magnets from Craftapalooza!! I have actually made some myself and they will be on sale at the Baby and Kids market in November!

This makeover was too , too easy. I just traced my board on the reverse side of my fabric, sewed around all but one edge , making sure the ribbon was in place (note the ribbon is different than what I had previously photographed but I like this better!!) and then hand stitched the opening!! Now just the finishing touch, going onto the wall "HUBBY, I have a job for you!!"

I got this great idea out of an amazing book and one that I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

Seams to Me by Anna Maria Horner

And my project from last week;

;Coasters, these too will be available at Baby and Kids market and online at Bizzy Dayz soon!!

Now, for tomorrows project, transforming this;

Into something special for somewhere in my home!! (Purchased off a Buy and Sell Facebook page for $8!!)

Ok... so there you have it, lots of Amazings, and Loves but thats me at the moment, loving and amazed at EVERYTHING!

Too many ideas

Its true, I have waaayyyyy too many ideas going around in my head at the moment and there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to do them.
First up, I got the urge again to make myself something, as I have been sewing for so many others and for the Bizzy Dayz Facebook and market store for a while.
So I took some of my favourite fabric from my big Spotlight spend up

And made this;

Now now, don't laugh!! It was my first attempt , like , EVER, at gathering and I think it looks pretty average good!! haha I just love the white fabric with the green [pattern, it feels like "ME", white with colour, my favourite colour infact!! Hope you like it!!

Next project, I am going to take this ordinary Whiteboard memo board;

 And make it into something super cute, practical and fun with these materials!!

 Stay tuned for the outcome!
And I haven't forgotten about the canvas, it is getting quite a makeover at the moment BUT I have forgotten to draw the burp cloth comp, will do tomorrow and take piccies for evidence!!

 Oh BTW, 3 sleeps til Upmarket!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Projects

What a beautiful way to start the morning , it was only 9:45am but I thought I had deserved morning tea as our days start at the foul cheery time of 5am!! Check out my new gorgeous morning mug, a whopper and oh so gorgeous!

I got a chance to sit down and edit and look at pics taken on Sunday, Fathers Day, that we have had to call Daddy's Day, as Stella didn't know what father meant ( as if a 2 year old would!!)
We had a gorgeous day, brekkie at Noel's Parents, lunch at home with an afternoon siesta and dinner with my parents!! Couldn't have been better! It was a beautiful day , for a beautiful Dad. I am so lucky to have an amazing partner to share our parenting journey with, and the kids are so lucky to have such a caring, hands on and dedicated Dad. Love you babe xoxo
Here is a pic of my beautiful people
And yes, Lacey is always very serious!! haha

Now , remember the gold photo frame, it actually was the home for years of a ball photo of my girl friends and I, well needless to say, it is well dated now and needed the flick ( in the memory box of course!) and so I had plans for it!
No rubbing back or prepping necessary done, just a simple can of matte White spray paint and bobs your uncle!!

And yes, that is my bird bath it is resting on, I am not one to prepare things, call me a bull at a gate!! I also sprayed a Letter M aswell, but you can choose whatever letter you like, or mulitple
Then the backing board was sprayed with spray adhesive, and lined with a gorgeous fabric of choice,  then sprayed the back of the letter and placed onto fabric, with a weight on the top and left to dry.

Finally I distressed some of the edges with a bit of sandpaper and now it sits proudly by my front door, to welcome people with a big Morrison "M" cheer!!
Why not try something similar yourself?

To top off a great "Made it Monday",  and a fantastic home day ( I just love staying at home for the whole day, trackie pants and all) I got so much done!!
I whipped up this cool brooch for my gorgeous gal pals big 30th Birthday!! I hope she likes it, I know I do, but its always hard making things for others, but I thought it would be a nice addition to a plain top, nice beaded necklace or a bag. I also painted and made her a set of coasters, my first set, but the base didn't turn out quite right, so I will line them with felt and then show them to you! I really wanted to make her something special, she is a gorgeous friend, always there for you, and I treasure her ( and her medical knowledge ) so much ( I swear though she is getting sick of my SOS messages with a picture, with symptoms of whatever is wrong with my littlies!!)
So here is my scrappy flower brooch, inspired by my gorgeous sisters creations! She is starting a blog at the moment, so when it is finished I will post a link, she is so so creative!

Lastly, I whipped up another cushion today, this time with 2 lovely ruffles, my first attempt at ruffling, and I LOVE IT!! Will post a piccie tomorrow when the light is better! Now I have this spray painting, renovating bug, I find myself sitting and staring around the house as to what I can transform next!!
Stay tuned for more projects!

This Rollercoaster thing we call LIFE!!

Do you ever get the feeling that life is just like a rollercoaster, the ups and downs are constant, but it never seems to want to stop!! Well life really is "Like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get" !!
Well mine seems that way anyway! Just when I think things are smoothing out and getting better, BAM, take that Liz!
I am feeling very much disappointed today. Quite a few things have happened in the last few days that have made me second guess myself, where or what I have done to deserve all this bad luck and the morals of some. BUT.... I do believe everything happens for a reason, and something great is going to eventuate, I just know it!! ( Keep telling yourself that Liz!)
However..... we had a great day today, apart from Max crying most of the day ( I am suspecting an ear and eye infection so will attempt to get a Doctors appointment for tomorrow). We actually stayed home for a whole day, Stella was still in her "suit" when her dad got home from work, and she loved every minute of it! ( she says to me "my warm, My got my suit on!" So CUTE!
Max had his first Milk arrowroot biccie today. A bit early I know, but the Paed told me to introduce solids at 4 months, and I was clutching at straws to make him happy today! Hard , hard work.

And here is a piccie of our gorgeous babies having tummy time together! So cute, and they are looking at each other these days and smiling and grab each others hands when laying side by side!. How strong are they getting, and how shiny is big boy Max's dome!! haha

And there is no show without punch, Stella had to join in (thats her suit, telly tubby hey?!). So here are our 3 babies, aren't we lucky?

 Now this is what life is all about, and thats what makes it all worth it, they ARE our ups, and the downs are all made easier by them.
Thanks for reading xo
