The week that was..........

Where oh where has this week gone? Puuffff , up in a cloud of not much smoke!! No seriously, I know everyone keeps saying it, but it is like everyday is flying by faster and faster all the time!!
Here are just a few snippets of our week, no major creations, a market day, some drawing, some organising and rearranging at home, some tomato picking, some bubble blowing and best of all, some cuddling with our cherubs.

Cherry tomatoes, yummo

Ahhh someone found a jar of nail polish and decided to paint her nails herself. It wasn't actually that bad, and we were very lucky it wasn't everywhere!! The things that can happen when Mummy needs to pee!!

Another market, Christmas in the Country at Walkaway

My stall, next to big sis again

A sneak peak into our photoshoot this afternoon with the kids in their Christening outfits, only 6 weeks down the track but anyway, are they the cutest!?
                                          Happy Saturday everyone!!

Markets Galore

On Sunday I attended the Midwest baby and Kids Market in my home town , Geraldton, Western Australia of course!
This market was sooo much more relaxed than the last, purhaps it had a little to do with the age of my babes, and the fact I didn't have any kids there at all this time. I had such a successful day and am really really chuffed with the outcome. I had HEAPS of stock and as always, different things sold this time around , which is always tricky as you never know what to prepare.
Here are some pics of my stall, hope you like them, and if you see anything you like , just leave a comment or email me, I can post anywhere!!
Bunting

Baby shoes in the white shelf and HEAPS of applique tops

All the goodies

Babushka softies

.

To make the day even better, I got to spend some quality and alone time withe my favouritest sister, Kristy from Bread n Butter Factory, she is super duper talented and an utter perfectionist and makes the most devine creations, clips, clip holders, softies, wall canvases and all handsewn and hand cut individually by Kristy herself!! Do yourselves a favour and check out her stuff,  or you can purchase some at the online baby shop Jive Baby HERE. Remember this from Stella's room, its our most prized posession!!

I have just been to set up at Walkaway for the Christmas in the Country Markets, I am really looking forward to it, plenty of room for prams and shoppers to be comfortable and for only $5 , unlimited scones and a cup of tea, why not!!
Hope to see you there!

Market Place....

I have been rather distant lately, as I am madly preparing, sewing, making, tagging, cutting, stuffing and creating for the Baby and Kids Market, in Geraldton (my home town) this coming weekend.
It has seriously snuck up on me!! I remember thinking to myself, "Pfft, I have heaps of time" but alas, I do NOT!!

I had a break from sewing for a while few weeks, because, to be honest, I just didn't feel like it, and to me, sewing and Bizzy Dayz, is about loving what I do, if I don't enjoy it, and it becomes a chore , I refuse to keep going.
However, the break is just what I needed, I have come back with ideas galore and yet again, not enough time to complete all the new products that I would have liked to launch!!

BUT..... just a heads up on some newbies, I have HEAPS of baby shoes  made out of mega gorgeous fabrics, some little kitchen helper accessories, some super duper gorgeous applique tops, some different hair accessories for Mums and kids, gorgeous softies (lots for boys) and of course, the usual stock.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there, but for now, I will leave you with something that is one my Christmas list;

"Pieces of Me"
Janelle Winds - Pieces Of Me

 Available HERE
A gorgeous book, and I have hinted at my DH for this, lets hope he gets the hint. Whats on your Christmas List?

Clean Craft?

Is there such a thing?
Well we proved that there was today at our house.
As a continuation of colour Yellow week, we did some more craft. It seriously was so easy, even the craft misfortunates would be able to do it, easy peasy!
First, I found the big roll of clear contact that I had bought on clearance at Spotlight, I knew that I would put it to good use. ( I try and pick up craft items cheap if I can , that way you aren't reluctant to use them)

I cut a square piece out and removed the backing and placed it sticky side up. Stella then started putting all the items from the container , on the contact. We had wool, beads, paper cut outs, flowers, feathers,
but you can use anything you like really, as long its in the colour range!

This is a great craft session to do if you don't like mess or you child is that bit young for glues.

Such concentration!!

Our audience. Just to show that having a baby , shouldn't deter you from crafting with your child, they were happy to watch. Its all in the timing!

So proud of her finished collage! I simply cut out another square to match, and placed it on the back. You can use it for a window card, placemat, or just a leadlight for the window.

As we have done here;

Our Yellow table is getting more full by the day

I have a few projects of my own on the go at the moment with some sewing for the next Baby and Kids Market, coming up mid November, so I will share with you soon. I have just made some gorgeous kids cooking aprons, perfect for the little helper and they will be at the market too!

I hope I am not boring everyone with all this kids craft but its apart of my day to day life, and thats what my blog is about. Its so fantastic to hear that I have stirred a few people up and encouraged them to start getting active at home with their kids. I have been sharing Ideas with a few friends, and its just so exciting! I do think too, that it doesn't matter how busy our lives get, we need to make time for our children and they everyone with reap the rewards  when they start school. We have a rule in our house, the TV is turned off between 10-3 , as when I was heavily pregnant with the twins, I didn't have the energy to do much, therefore the Tv was on all the time. Its amazing now that its not, how Stellas Imagination is running wild, her role playing is so vivid and our house has the most gorgeous quietness, besides some background music (or Playschool Music).

Hope everyone has a good evening, hmm what to do now that I am up to date with One Tree Hill and have to wait to Wednesday to view the next episode, sad case, but true.

To Market to Market to buy a...............

Fat pig? No, but LOTS of other goodies!! What a whirlwind trip to the big smoke! We left Saturday after I finished work at the salon (about 3pm departure) and got home at 8pm last night!! But... boy was it worth it!! Our beautiful little people were absolute gems on the way down, slept, talked , gooed , all the good stuff, however the trip home was something different.... unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, they were really really good, until Eneabba, alas, this time, they cracked the poopies but a quick switcheroo of seats with Mummy to the back and it was under control with the help of some yummy food. Food = winner!!
Right, onto the good stuff!! I mut begin with stating the absolute obvious!! How many super duper talented people are in this world? Ah hello Liz, heaps you say!! Well then, how many are in this wonderful state of ours? Heaps ,and it only take a trip to Upmarket to make one realise pretty quick smart!
My mum , crafty sister and I , had a great peruse around the market, and I must thank Kristy, my big sister, for "looking like a Mummy" much to her disgust, and carrying my big boy Max in a Baby Bjorn on her front, whilst I carried Lacey girl on my front in a pouch like a little koalo with her head popping out and watching everyone!! For anyone who has been to Upmarket, they will know, that prams are a no go, and such a hinderance to ones serious shopping abilities and we did not want to risk any handicaps to the latter!!
For anyone interested, and I urge all , the website link for Upmarket is here.
Take a gander at my amazing purchases, I must say in my defense too, I DID buy a few Xmas pressies, birthday pressies and had a list of "wants" and crossed them all off  = one happy stoked Liz!!

Amazingly gorgeous things from Craftapalooza, her website is HERE

My Gorgeous Apple pincushion and drawing pins!!

My free "gift" for letting her know I was an avid blog follower!!

My Mother In Laws Xmas gift

Lacey Lous Christmas gift, a Poppet from Pikelet Workshop (Facebook Page), Jen is amazing!! And I have been a follower of her on Facebook for a while now and it was awesome to see her goods in person, so much better, just gorgeous!

Amazing felt creations from Happy As Larry, I did get a gorgeous mobile too so I will post a pic when it is up!

This gorgeous pendant from a little frenchy stall, there were lots of jewellery ones , so I can't remember the name

And the items at the top of my "wish List" all in there stunning and glorious beauty. From the top, a casserole carrier in the gorgeous Amy Butler Lotus fabric, an ironing board cover (like I iron, meh) , a tea cosy in the lotus fabric too, and a uber adorable oven mit!!All stunning and better in real life, from the Modern Homewares, HERE is her Etsy store!

And.. how devine are these? So antiquey (ok I made that word up, but doesnt everyone?!) and I just love the sparkle and colour!! For moi of course!!

Ok, no trip to Perth is complete (well not one that lasts only 18 hours anyway, without a trip to Harbour Town, and Cotton On Kids, I love it , and its so great for boys clothes, and I picked up these letters, and I will be using these and a few more for a future project so stay tuned!!

Now, I know, call me silly, but I do not feel like I have finished a day off properly without "creating something", and I know people will giggle at that, knowing my life, however it somehow makes all the hard stuff, the dual crying, the spewing, the nappies, the toilet trips, the cleaning, the washing, the cooking, the wages, the salon duties, and all the other guff thrown in, all better, and rosy and ..... quite literally ... bearable. On days when I just want to curl up into the feotal position and rock myself to sleep (haha ok ok a little over exageration, but you get the gist , yes?)
                                                                  So here is todays.......
Remember this? The whiteboard from the last post? Well this is it now.....

A gorgeous , covered magnet board for my favourite things......
And here it is complete with a few piccies and making good use of those magnets from Craftapalooza!! I have actually made some myself and they will be on sale at the Baby and Kids market in November!

This makeover was too , too easy. I just traced my board on the reverse side of my fabric, sewed around all but one edge , making sure the ribbon was in place (note the ribbon is different than what I had previously photographed but I like this better!!) and then hand stitched the opening!! Now just the finishing touch, going onto the wall "HUBBY, I have a job for you!!"

I got this great idea out of an amazing book and one that I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

Seams to Me by Anna Maria Horner

And my project from last week;

;Coasters, these too will be available at Baby and Kids market and online at Bizzy Dayz soon!!

Now, for tomorrows project, transforming this;

Into something special for somewhere in my home!! (Purchased off a Buy and Sell Facebook page for $8!!)

Ok... so there you have it, lots of Amazings, and Loves but thats me at the moment, loving and amazed at EVERYTHING!

Beautiful Day

Ohh what a beautiful day it is here today!! I have to admit, I am a summer lover, but I do love the weather in Geraldton atm. Coolish in the mornings and nights but a sunny 25 degrees during the day, just perfect! Especially for a pregnant hot water bottle like me!

Haven't blogged for a few days, I have been sewing actually. I have decided to have a stall at this weekends markets. In the old Goals Courtyard, its all handmade stuff and I'm looking forward to it. Everyone is stressing about me doing it, saying I am putting pressure on myself, but they should know be now, that I work better like that and I figure its a good way to make myself sit down for 3 hours and read or something until a potential customer comes along. If I was at home, I would be cooking, cleaning or rearranging something, Or weeding my garden, which I did get told off by Mumsie for doing! What I am not doing is stressing myself about getting things done, but I have a bit in my sewing den that is cut out and just not whipped up, like burp cloths and cloth wipes, and I am making a few owls, they are cut out just need to be put together! So if you want me, thats where I will be , Bill Sewell from 9-12!

Saturday is looking to be a big one too!! My little cousin is getting married! Yay, and I have to say that I am more than relieved to be still going pregnant and strong as I did not want to miss her getting married. Not to mention the fact that I am doing her hair!! I can't wait, I am looking forward to getting back into the salon, even if for a few hours, and creating something! What I am going to wear is a drama in itself atm, a sarong to wrap around my gigantic stomach?! argh!
Speaking of the salon, we have been nominated for a Business Excellence Award from the Chamber of Commerce in Geraldton, and the submissions are due tomorrow! I am more than thankful that my mum is a computer and literacy wiz, as the submission and portfolio is a massive task, pages and pages of things you have to answer and write and it has to be in the right manner. They even hold workshops as to how to make your submission!! A bit ridiculous really, as I think its just to narrow down the feild so they have less to choose from as I am sure there are businesses that wouldn't bother doing it. But thankyou so much Mum, what would I do with out you?
As part of the portfolio I had to taek some pics of the salon, so here are a few!

Well the ultrasound went well on Tuesday, apart from the fact we found out the babies are lying across my tummy, not up and down like they should be, so we are hoping they are going to move or rotate sometime soon. We have been massaging my tummy at night time to try and get them to roll in that direction, whether it works or not, remains to be seen, but we have to try something, I really don't want a c-sect!! They babes are a really decent size by their scan, not that its definate but its reassuring. 5lb 8 and 6lb 5 , not bad at 34 weeks!!
Off to Gyno today, hopefully she has good news, maybe they turned over night!!

Before I head off, a huge thankyou to my followers, how awesome! I originally thought I would be talking to myself, which is totally fine by me, but now I have people that are listening! So thankyou, and hello to the English crew!!
I am learning about this blogging thing everyday, and its actually quite addictive!!

A little pic of princess in the outfit I made her the other day, just the skirt and top, and my niece got a skirt to match, think they both thought they were pretty cool!!
