Now... I think I have been very well behaved in the matter, but the time has come...... 1 more sleep to go. One more sleep until we see Powderfinger, Live. In. Concert!! And I can not wait!! We have seen them before , yes, but this time is different. This is the last time we will see them, EVER! Not to mention seeing Jet, their supporting act, what a supporting act !!! Whats even more exciting is the fact we are going on a date. Just hubby, and me! I can not wait! The first time in a VERY long time, we are goin out alone. SOLO, just us!! Friday night = Date night!! Yeeeehhhaaa!
Now that I have done my little rant, onto some good stuff.
Here is what I created last night;
And it on the couch with the others;
And the burp cloth winners goodies. Meagan, I hope you like them!!
Now as you have gathered, we are off to Perth in the wee hours of the morning, and I feel like a kid before Christmas. I get to see my good friend Jess , she has started a blog too, check it out HERE, and I get to go to my favourite shops (Ikea, Kikki K, Cotton on Kids Big W (sad I know) Freedom, and hopefully Domayne!), we are going for a trip to the Zoo (Stella is uber excited) and more importantly, we get to spend time together, as a family, for longer than one day.
Needless to say I will be MIA for a few days, but back with more goodies, piccies and projects, so stay tuned. Happy Weekend peeps!
BTW- Make sure you check out my super talented sister at Bread N Butter Factory's new BLOG

sunshine and smiles
We enjoyed the whole day at home today, and I love it, there is simply nothing better than hanging out in your trackies, playing in the sunshine and enjoying our little people!!
Stella and I had a great play (and photo session) in the glorious sunshine today, it was gorgeous to sit in the sun and soak up the rays, I just love Spring and Summer.
She would have to be thecheekiest gorgeous little thing around..... Today she was playing with my hair and took out my lacky and bobby pins, and before she did she said "I take your clips out, they hurting you , they unconfotble" (aka Uncomfortable!) Classic!! Here , a snippet of our fun in the sun;
Today I was busy sewing (catching up on orders) when I could, playing games, swinging a swing, making Pizza's with Stella for lunch (supervising that she didn't eat all the olives before they made it to the pizza's) and having a kip with a very sunsettled little man on my chest (off to Paed tomorrow , thankfully) whilst the girls were sleeping , couldnt have asked for a better day really!
I did however start a new small project, will post pics tomorrow, just something to add to Stella's room and am gathering supplies for the next big project.
A challenge was set by one of the great blogs I follow Mama Loves Papa to write ourselves a thankful list , a list of 10 things that we are thankful everyday for. Not something we stop and do very often, and I was so keen to participate, we all need a wakeup call every now and then!
Here are my 10;
1) Noel... he is the most amazing husband and best friend anyone could ask for, and I love that we are sharing this journey of life together
2) My body (def not the way it looks!!) but that I was able to create and carry 3 amazing children ,and even 2 at once!! Something many take for granted!
3) My babies of course, 1 beautiful little girl, and 2 gorgeous little cherubs, we are very lucky!
4) My Mum (my Dad is pretty cool too) but she is not only my Mum and the best one at that, but she is one of my best friends. I would be lost without her!! xo
5) Our amazing house, I am constantly rearranging, remodelling, redoing things, to make it our home, but we are very lucky to live in such a beauiful house and area
6) Bedtime of the said children, the peace is priceless and I love the time with hubby!
7) Friends and family; we have some precious people in our lives and are so very grateful
8) My imagination; it never ceases to amaze my husband and me for that matter
9) My career; I am constantly inspired by my profession of hairdressing, and LOVE it!
10) Life.. it is a gift in itself, and it needs to appreciated in all its worth.
There you have it, have you ever made one yourself? Do it, and I'd love to see them, email me or post a link.

mirror mirror, on the wall....
Remember this, from this post, well , look at it now, in all its glory, perched on my wall, waiting to greet people as they walk through the door!
I must say, I am chuffed with it, and surprisingly , so is Noel. He made comment,( a rarity) and its amazing the way it lightens up the whole area, reflecting light. I do think though, that I would like to get some distressing or aging paint/ink and rub over the details a bit more !
Not forgetting another small part of my day yesterday, making yummy scrummy food for our babies. I love making food for them, and very rarely use prepackaged or jar products, not that I am against them for others but I love making fresh food for our children, and knowing they are getting nutritious meals.
Enjoy your Tuesday, lovely sunny weather here today! Magic as my Mum would say!

a room fit for a princess
Stella's room has been one of those ever evolving projects, to which I am always adding to, taking away, and trying to make it just "right".
We have had a rather large milestone occur in the past few days (and nights more like it) where her side gard rail has been taken away, Goodbye!!
At first the idea was prompted by me, to which she said yes, then later on in the night wanted it back up, however the next night , she was definate, "no cot, a big girl bed!!" So in less than 12 months , she has basically toilet trained herself, and gone into a big girl bed (both at 18months) and now really IS a big girl, and she couldn't be happier and we couldn't be prouder!! Not that there is a competition with milestones and kids, however , it is a happy thought knowing other kids her age are still in nappies full time, let alone being nappy free , day AND night!!
Ok, enough of the braggin ( a mothers right of course!!) and onto her room.
She went for a trip out to my sisters farm last night with my parents, a spontaneous decision by her grandparents but one she just loved ( and was exhausted so much so she slept in !! shock horror!!)
So, I had a bit of spare time on my hands, twins are a down sight easier without a toddler aswell!
And this is what I created, a gorgeous bunting for her room. I have wanted to make one for ages and never got around to it, and now I love it!! Simply made with ribbon, not binding, and cut around the edge with pinking shears (mine are from Ikea) . I am thinking of making some for the next Baby and Kids market, think they'll be a hit!!
We also cleaned out her cupboard and drawers (boy does she grow out of clothes fast!!) and I found this;
A gorgeous princess curtain hoop, and just for now , we attached it to the ceiling with a plastic stick on hook , and its doing the job so far, but now we know she loves it, cos she could have quite easily have hated it too!, we will hang it by a proper hook.
These are a few of my other favourite things in her room;
This is the footstool/ seat that I recovered and painted yesterday, I have another to do , so will post pics of the process, I purchased these of the Buy and Sell facebook sight for $5 for a pair!! We sit on it each night and read books before lights out.
I have just the twins home today, so hoping to achieve a few things, however , I don't like my chances, that cough I was talking about, well its actually Bronchiolitis, and both babies have it. I took them up to After hours care at the hospital Saturday night, and we narrowly escaped a hospital stay, but they do seem to be getting better. Poor little poppets!! I hate winter, bring on Summer! (famous last words!!)

Motivational cards for kids, I read them to her when she gets dressed in the morning!! |
Drawers full of goodies, handpainted and bought for a song, but needs a makeover!! |
And not forgetting the clip holder she got for her birthday from her Aunty Kristy at Bread N Butter Factory, very full now, but this was Kristy's first protype and we feel privaledge to be the owners!! Check out my sisters new gorgeous blog HERE.

finishing fun
Oh what a glorious day!! I LOOOOOOVVVEEE Sundays!! Its our only day as a family as I work Saturdays and I just love it. I love the simple things, pikelets for brekky, fun in the sun on the trampoline, trips to Bunnings, however today I loved being able to finish a few projects I have on the go!
My hubby actually said this morning "I just wish you would finish one thing before starting another!!"
Now where would the fun be in that? I just have way too many ideas running around in my poor little head!!
Soooo, here is just a snippet of today. I also made Stella a gorgeous bunting for her room and made over a stool from her room, but pics in the morning as I didn't finish them til late and the light was icky! We also planted new herbs in the vege pathc (and harvested the smallest carrots I have possibly ever seen!) planted a few new plants in the garden and rearranged our toy room and chucked some junk out!
However;
This is the stool half way through its journey!

Well this is it now; it is going to hang in our bedroom as it matched our new quilt well I think!
Sorry for the brightness, it was such a glorious day today, but very sunny, but the material backing is a red /maroon stripe and I am still trying to decide whether to distress the frame or now? Any suggestions?
And this got a makeover today too!! Hopefully it gets put up in its new found glory tomorrow!! Can't wait to share!
And leaving you with this , the sweetest thing EVER!! Who needs a nanny when you have a big sister that is more than willing to help!?

one of those....
days here today. You know the ones? 3 kiddies sick with coughs, a sensitive 2 year old and 2 babies. Life was grand today, but tomorrow is a new day. And Saturday, Dads Day at our house. A day where I say "seeya" at 7:30am when its full on with 3 kiddies (like he does 5 days a week) and go and be a big girl for a day. Talk, laugh, snip, foil, EAT!! But... I do miss my beautiful babies and look forward to feed time and home time!!
But for now, a reminder, hell I need it today;
Jewellery wearing,
Sultana eating,
skirt loving,
molar teething,
sensitive crying,
big questioning,
ball throwing,
kangaroo jumping,
banana liking,
pro painting,
tantrum throwing,
patience testing,
sweet smiling,
koala hugging,
hand holding
butterfly kissing
gorgeous big Stella Star.
We love you to bits gorgeous girl, but oh what a testing 2 year old!! Nothing abnormal, just 2 years old, and its a hard life!!

a challenge
Rightio, I am trying a few different things out for my blog lately, with plenty more ideas floating aroung in my head that are yet to come!
I have been an avid reader of Becky Higgins blog for quite a while now, and infact have 2 of her amazing Baby Scrapbooking kits sitting in my "Den" (aka the cave by hubby) , that I got shipped out from the US because they were that great and I can't wait to use them, hmmm add that to my ever growing list of "To Do's".
Anyhoooo she set a challenge a few weeks back and I have just got inspired to do it, too late for her entry competition but never too late for some creative photography, I just wish the light was better!
The mini challenge was to put your camera down on a surface in your home, and just capture everyday life. Its always good to stretch the imagination and you never know , you may end up with that perfect "shot" and it'll be all worth it!!
Here is Becky's example pic ;

So why not take on the challenge? Go on, its liberating to do something different, and please, leave a comment with a link to your blog or picture, so I can see just a snippet of your everyday life too!! Look forward to seeing some gorgeous captures!
